Malcom was born in Southern California in 1963. He always spent time around the water, not only in California but Mexico, Hawaii and Florida. And because of that, he was usually around a lot of fun positive energy. You can see that influence in his work.
It’s all about capturing a feeling
In school, I was always the kid that could draw. But I never considered being a visual Artist. As I worked in Corporate Management, I realized I was not doing what I was meant to do. I eventually became obsessed with being an Artist. I developed a long brush stroke, and began blending the paints on the canvas instead of the palette. After practicing this technique for about 10,000 hours, I suddenly got the hang of it. For me, it’s about capturing the energy, or a feeling. But most of all, it’s about inspiring everyone else.
